You agree that it is your responsibility to update yourself of our terms and conditions herein (which may be amended from time to time in Daehan’s discretion) accessible at https://www.easykorean.online/student-tc/ prior to registering for any of our classes. Failure by any student to object in writing to any of the Student T&Cs or withdraw from any class within ten (10) calendar days from the latest version of the Student T&Cs shall constitute the student’s full acceptance of the Student T&Cs and all updates thereto.

  1. The types of classes available by Daehan is as set out in Appendix 1, subject to variation at any time in the discretion of Daehan.
  2. When registering for any class that has been announced as open for public registration, a down payment of $100.00 (“Down Payment”) is required in order to secure a seat in the proposed class. Students who walk-in to the school counter to register for classes may also choose to pay the full school fees for that class (instead of just the Down Payment) at the school counter via approved payment methods. The use of the term “classes” herein shall refer both to one single class as well as collectively to a series of classes (which may also be referred to interchangeably as a “course” or a “term”).
  3. Seats in classes are reserved on a first-come basis and the Down Payment is required in order to secure a seat in the class. Registration for classes will close when the class is full.

The criteria for acts or omissions to constitute disciplinary or ethical breaches will be determined at the sole discretion of Daehan’s management.
  5. Online Registrations: Where registration online for any of our classes open for public registration is sought, a Down Payment of $100.00 is similarly required in order to secure a seat in proposed classes. However, full payment of school fees via Daehan’s website is not possible. Full amount of the school fees payable less any Down Payment amount paid online will be due and payable at our school registration counter latest on the first day of class. Payment may be made at the school counter via approved payment methods. Online registrations via our website are not confirmed until you, the registering student, receives confirmation of their registration via E-mail, or in hard copy, with our acknowledgment that your Down Payment has been received. In the event that you do not receive any confirmation of registration and our receipt of your Down Payment, you agree that it is your responsibility to follow up by calling, emailing or visiting Daehan’s administration in person in order to verify that your registration for a seat in your desired class has been secured, failing which, you may not be able to attend the classes that you had sought to register for, and Daehan will not be howsoever liable to you in this regard.
  6. Corporate Classes: For classes commissioned by a company or organisation for its employees, full payment of the school fee invoiced by Daehan to the said company for all its attendees has to be paid and received by Daehan at least one week prior to the expected commencement of corporate classes, failing which such corporate classes shall not commence and Daehan shall not be howsoever liable to the said company or any of its anticipated attendees for the said corporate classes. For cancellations received by Daehan less than 1 week prior to the proposed class commencement date (or the first class of the course, as may be applicable), the full amount of class fees (or course fees, as may be applicable) will be payable.

(2) Payment of School Fees & Refunds

  1. Down Payment and payment of class/course fees made towards any classes is strictly non-refundable except in cases where there is insufficient number of registrations required for the class to commence, or Daehan in its discretion decides that the said class should not be commenced, and the proposed class is therefore cancelled.
  2. Full payment for all classes must be made prior to the commencement of the first attendance by the student in the class that the student has registered for. If full payment was not made at the time of registration, the balance of the full course fee for the classes must be paid before the commencement of the class the student has registered for, or the student’s first lesson, whichever is earlier. Students who fail to make full payment of the applicable course fee for their course/classes will not be permitted to commence attendance in any class nor receive any course materials, and will not be entitled to refund of any Down Payment (in whole or in part) or any other payments already made towards the class.
  3. Before the commencement of any class, students who have registered into any open-to-public or private lesson classes and have paid school fees in full are able to apply for a refund of the class/course fees (“school fees”) paid for the class less the Down Payment amount (which will not be refunded so as to cover the incurred administrative costs of Daehan) prior to the commencement of the first class. 4. Daehan strictly does not hold any school fees paid for a particular course/class as credit for any other classes or future classes. All school fees paid for a particular class or course will only be toward such particular class or course, regardless of whether the student ultimately attends any or all of such classes or course that the student has paid for.
  5. Payment of any Down Payment or school fees made is strictly not transferrable to a third party.
  6. Daehan reserves the right to offer a refund of any school fees paid towards a class in the event of class cancellation, postponement beyond the Three Week Grace period as set out in Section (5)’s clause 2 below, refusal or withdrawal of student registration resulting in less than the minimum number of participants required for the class, or any circumstance where Daehan is unable to fulfill the provision of classes that a registrant may have registered for.
  7. In the event of any failure to make full payment of school fees as set out herein (including payment of school fees for cancellation of Corporate Classes as stipulated in Clause (1)7 above), Daehan shall be entitled to take any and all debt recovery actions, including but not limited to sending legal letters of demand, engaging debt collectors, and commencing legal action. 2. Registrants who are from eligible organizations that are CAP members must present their Student/Staff/Alumni Card, and let our Daehan school administrators know of your eligibility for discount before or at the time of making payment. Only cardholders are eligible for CAP benefits. Failure to produce the requisite evidence of eligibility for CAP discounts prior to your making payment will constitute forfeiture of any discounts that you might have enjoyed, and Daehan will not provide any refunds or rebates thereafter you have already made payment (whether for Down Payment or the balance class fees) for your registration, i.e. no discount will be provided whatsoever in relation to the fees payable for your registered classes.
  3. Evidence of eligibility for the promotion or discount has to be produced before or at the time of payment. Daehan will not refund any difference in school fees to students who attempt to claim a discount or promotion after payment for their class has already been made.
  4. For registrants seeking CAP discounts, kindly note that verification of the student’s original Student/Staff/Alumni Card is required for CAP affiliate organization discounts to be applied. Acceptance of proof of eligibility is at the sole discretion of Daehan.

Daehan provides a value added service of FOC Make-up Lessons for specific classes only (in Daehan’s sole discretion). This service is usually available to classes whose intake has more than one class. In cases where FOC Make-up lessons are available, students who are unable to attend specific lessons may write in via the Make-up Lesson Request Form on the school website, or via email, to request for a replacement lesson for the lesson that the student will be missing or has missed. Each student can request for up to three FOC Make-up lesson arrangements within their term, subject to availability and other considerations for the make-up lesson. Daehan will endeavour to find a suitable FOC make-up class (class of the same level, lesson number and within the same intake as the lesson the student is missing or has missed) so that the student may attend the replacement lesson to cover the lesson he/she will be missing or has missed without incurring any additional costs. The availability of FOC Make-up lessons is subject to seat availability in complementary classes. Booking of seats in FOC make-up lessons are arranged at the sole discretion of Daehan and should not be considered an entitlement or guaranteed arrangement as part of any student’s enrolment in the school. Student should provide the school with at least 1 working day’s advance notice in order for any arrangements to possibly be made.
*Note that for some classes, the complementary FOC make-up lessons run earlier than the student’s original lessons. 3. Ad Hoc Make-up Lessons:
Should FOC make-up lessons be unavailable or unsuitable, current students may request to book an ad hoc make-up lesson. Any booking for Ad Hoc Make-up Lessons has to be made while the student is still an *active student in the school. Ad hoc make-up lessons are private tutoring sessions with one of our Daehan teachers; to go through the syllabus the student is going to miss/ have missed during their original lesson. These lessons are chargeable, depending on the length of lesson required, number of lessons that require covering, number of students in the class etc. and are subject to our teachers’ availability. The original receipt from the test has to be produced at the school administration desk when seeking to off-set the placement test fee from course fee during registration for a class/course. The placement test is not compulsory but serves to better guide students in registering for a class appropriate to their level, nonetheless, taking of the placement test is not a guarantee that students with prior knowledge in the Korean language will be placed in classes of a level that they deem most suited to them. Daehan does not offer refunds or free transfers for students with prior knowledge in Korean who register into a class that they deem inappropriate to their level of learning, regardless of whether the placement test was taken.
